tsk tsk. You could have scraped off the mold and put that applesauce on pancakes.
Heck, you could have made a toupee for someone with the mold I bet. If you got enough collected, that is.
Are you despondent after the applesauce throwing incident?
Yes. Three reasons.
1. Carrot Jello is no longer around.
2. Threw out the applesauce
3. Moving and selling the house. Had to clean out the fridge and freezer so people would think...well that Mrs. Clean lives here. Sigh. But I did manage to save 2 measly bones that I am making soup out of even as I type.
Carrot comment and bone soup. I feel better already!
I'm sure there will be another chance to use moldy applesauce someday soon. :)
